Everyone has a story to tell. With each edition of Real People, residents share stories with the community.

About the Storytellers

Bonnie Long is an inveterate New Yorker, fortunate enough to enjoy both city and country life. Friends describe her as liking to have projects; and as one who is often creating with her hands. There are stories in her memory that might actually make it into a future book.

Steven Favreau is an interior designer and literary fiction writer. Previously he was soloist at the Moulin Rouge in Paris, A Chorus Line in NYC, and a cruise directer in Hawaii. Among his bucket list: to be on Moth Radio Hour, so he thinks of this as a great step and honor. He lives in Ghent, NY with his fiance, Dennis and their two large and precocious bernedoodles. www.favreaudesign.com

Jolie Kobrinsky lives in Hudson, newly reunited with the love of her life. This is her first appearance at Ancram Center, and her second time performing live storytelling.

Joan Coombs is an actor, dancer, board president at Berkshire Pulse, and an avid gardener with too many gardens. She lives in Stockbridge with her husband Peter, also a gardener who created too many gardens.

Do you have a story you’d like to tell?

REAL PEOPLE REAL STORIES is a centerpiece of Ancram Center’s seasonal programming. The RPRS approach involves a series of storytelling workshops. In these workshops, residents develop and shape their monologues with guidance from program director Paul Ricciardi. The results are an array of poignant, humorous, and captivating tales that celebrate community and personal connection. For more information, please reach out to Paul Ricciardi at paul@ancramcenter.org.
