Where is Ancram Center for the Arts located?

We are located in Columbia County, New York, near Hudson, Millerton, Pine Plains, Great Barrington, Rhinebeck, and Copake.

Please note some map apps place us on the wrong side of the street so look in the opposite direction if you don't see us. The Ancram Center for the Arts is a white clapboard structure, close to the road, with a front porch and mansard roof.

 

Are tickets affordable?

Yes. Ancram Center offers sliding-scale ticket pricing to help make theater accessible to everyone, regardless of budget. Student discounts are also available with valid ID.

To help ensure our performances remain accessible to all audiences, we offer flexible ticket pricing for all mainstage productions:

  • $29 Sponsored Tickets — subsidized through community support and donations

  • $49 General Admission — our standard ticket price

  • $69 Pay-It-Forward Tickets — helps support greater access for others in the community

We encourage patrons to choose the option that feels most comfortable and affordable for them.

Student Discount

Students with a valid student ID can attend any performance in our season for $20, regardless of the regular ticket price. Simply present your student ID at the box office to receive the discounted rate.

 

What kind of theater does Ancram Center present?

Is there parking at Ancram Center?

Yes, free onsite parking is available at Ancram Center for all performances, workshops, and events. Parking is located along the road and on the lawn just north of the building. Guests should enter using the driveway closest to Ancram Center and exit from the far end of the lot. We kindly ask that the parking spaces directly in front of the campus remain available for patrons requiring immediate physical access.

Additional spillover parking is available at the Town of Ancram’s Blass Field on Route 7, just south of the fire station at the intersection of Routes 7 and 82. The field entrance is located opposite the post office, and it is only a short walk to Ancram Center for the Arts.

We recommend arriving 20–30 minutes before showtime to allow time for parking, seating, and enjoying the surrounding Hudson Valley area. There are also many excellent restaurants within a 10–15 minute drive of Ancram Center. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends and performance nights, and restaurant closing times may vary if dining after a show.

 

Is Ancram Center good for a date night?

Yes. Many audience members pair performances with dinner, drinks, or a weekend getaway in the Hudson Valley or Berkshires.

Nearby towns like Pine Plains, Copake, Hudson, and Millerton offer excellent restaurants, lodging, and local attractions.
