The Storytellers & Their stories
Macey Levin has had an extensive career as an actor, director, artistic director, and reviewer. He was the artistic director at Studio Theatre, Lindenhurst, Long Island through the 1980's. After moving to the Northwest Corner he and his wife created Aglet Theatre Company which ran for fourteen years. He has reviewed theatre for The Berkshire Record, The Lakeville Journal, curtainup․com and, currently, berkshireonstage․com. He is a founding member of the Berkshire Theatre Critics Association
Macey's story is about when I had to admonish an actor who challenged my authority and fire a director.
As a Managing Director in Citi's Investment Bank, Brooke Schooley advised Fortune 100 clients on M&A and financing. After leaving banking, Brooke founded the West Village Business Improvement District, which she now chairs. Brooke sings professionally, most recently with Delaware Valley Opera, and is currently working on a cabaret about her time on Wall Street. She serves on the board of Compassion in World Farming USA.
Brooke's story is about why I can't answer the question "What do you do?"
Simone Stevens is a Hudson Valley-based performer, voice actor, and musician. She is also an educator, working as a teaching artist and coaching voice-over. She can be seen around the Hudson Valley, enjoying the natural beauty and the vibrant creative community that thrives here.
Simone's story is about why it took someone 30 years to return to the home they knew as a child.

REAL PEOPLE REAL STORIES is a centerpiece of Ancram Center’s seasonal programming. The RPRS approach involves a series of storytelling workshops. In these workshops, residents develop and shape their monologues with guidance from program director Paul Ricciardi. The results are an array of poignant, humorous, and captivating tales that celebrate community and personal connection. For more information, please reach out to Paul Ricciardi at paul@ancramcenter.org.
