COME TOGETHER
BARB JUNGR & JOHN McDANIEL PERFORM THE BEATLES
Saturday, August 18 @ 8.30 pm
“In her ability to revitalize familiar songs by theatrically dramatizing the lyrics, Ms. Jungr has a magic touch… For a dedicated song aficionado, it was like finding gold in a well-worked mine” The New York Times on Come Together
“The twosome find a different depth in the repertoire that even songwriters Paul McCartney, John Lennon and George Harrison didn't reach” Village Voice on Come Together
Following last summer’s sold out performance, Barb Jungr returns to the Ancram Opera House, accompanied by John McDaniel, in this internationally acclaimed show. Based on their 2016 album of the same name, Come Together was shortlisted as one of the Best Duo Shows of 2015 by broadwayworld.com, and Barb and John were shortlisted as the best Vocal Duo or Group by the MAC Awards in 2016.
Barb Jungr is an acclaimed jazz and cabaret singer, and has become best known for her work with, or "interpretations" of, the songs of Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, Jacques Brel, The Beatles and, most recently, Sting. John McDaniel is a pianist, singer, arranger and partner in banter who has accompanied stars including Betty Buckley, Tyne Daly, Brooke Shields and Patti LuPone.
